The workshop will be held on December 22, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at UTS Kumaripati, Lalitpur.
Open to students, aspiring baristas, and coffee enthusiasts, this session offers an immersive introduction to Nepal’s evolving coffee culture. The workshop will be led by Mr Suman Maharjan, an experienced UTS instructor known for his practical expertise and engaging teaching style.
Discover the joy of brewing specialty coffee in the comfort of your own home. Home brewing uses simple, accessible tools to unlock the best flavours from coffee beans—and this workshop will guide you step by step through the process.
Participants will gain hands-on experience with popular home brewing methods such as V60, AeroPress, Hario Switch, and French Press. The session will also include a guided tasting of four unique Nepali coffees sourced from Taplejung and Kaski, processed using Natural, Natural Anaerobic, Washed, and Honey methods.
Through interactive brewing demonstrations and side-by-side tastings, attendees will learn how brewing equipment and processing techniques influence flavour, sweetness, and aroma. Blending education with sensory experience, this workshop reflects UTS’s mission of practical excellence and real-world skill development – making it ideal for anyone passionate about coffee.
