Barista + IELTs/PTE Joint Course

The United Technial School (UTS) and HUB International Joint Education Package Barista with IELTS/PTE is designed for students who want to develop practical career skills while also preparing for international education opportunities. This special course bundle combines professional hospitality training with essential language preparation required for global study and employment pathways.

Through this collaboration between UTS and HUB International Education, students receive hands on technical training along with structured preparation for international language tests such as IELTS or PTE. The program is designed to support learners who want to build employable skills and confidently explore opportunities beyond Nepal.

This course bundle offers a balanced approach. Students gain practical experience in a professional environment while also strengthening the language skills required for academic and career advancement abroad.

General Course Outline

Module 1: Professional Barista Training

• Understand the journey of coffee, starting from coffee plants, harvesting, processing, roasting, and finally brewing the perfect cup.
• Hands-on training on espresso machines, coffee grinders, calibration, and cafe equipment used in professional coffee shops.
• Learn 22 Varieties of Beverages – Gain hands-on experience in preparing hot, iced, and manual brewed beverages, covering a wide range of popular cafe-style drinks.
• Develop practical skills in grinding, dosing, tamping, espresso extraction, and recipe preparation.
• Practice milk texturing and create beautiful latte art designs such as Heart, Rosetta, and Swan.
• Understand cafe opening & closing procedures, hygiene standards, food safety, and customer service skills.
• Learn proper cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures for coffee machines and cafe equipment

Module 2: IELTS / PTE Preparation

Objective:
This module provides a structured learning pathway for students to develop their English language proficiency and master the skills required for IELTS and PTE examinations.

• Understand test formats, scoring systems, and exam requirements for both IELTS and PTE.
• Strengthen core English skills including grammar, sentence structure, tenses, and vocabulary while correcting common errors.
• Improve listening skills through practice with different question types, note-taking techniques, and better concentration.
• Enhance reading ability with skimming, scanning, faster comprehension, and vocabulary development.
• Develop writing skills for IELTS Task 1 & 2 and PTE formats, focusing on idea generation, structure, grammar, and vocabulary.
• Practice speaking for IELTS and PTE by improving fluency, pronunciation, confidence, and clear expression of ideas.
• Engage in regular practice to identify strengths and improve weak areas across all four skills.
• Take full-length mock tests with time management strategies, performance evaluation, and expert feedback to boost overall band score.
